Recipe requests
The recipe-request form (“Can't find what you're looking for?” → “Request a Recipe,” shown with search results) sends only the details text you submit to me by email, using Resend, a third-party email delivery service, solely to deliver your request to my Gmail inbox. It isn't stored in a database or used for anything else. A few automated checks run on submission to filter out spam before anything is sent: a hidden field, a minimum-time check, a filter that rejects links and certain spam terms, and a temporary rate limit keyed to your IP address. That rate limit is handled by Upstash — it's used only to prevent abuse, and how long Upstash itself retains it is governed by Upstash's own practices, not something this site controls. None of these checks collect anything else about you.
Newsletter signups
Signing up for the newsletter in the footer (“Let's Keep in Touch”) sends your email address to Resend Contacts, where it's stored as part of a segment used to send this site's newsletter. Signing up also triggers an automated welcome email, sent through Resend. This is separate from the recipe-request form above — signing up for one doesn't sign you up for the other. The same automated checks described above (a hidden field, a minimum-time check, and the Upstash-backed IP rate limit) run on this form too. You can ask to unsubscribe at any time by emailing matchabzz@gmail.com. This newsletter's mailing address is 2010 El Camino Real PMB #2064, Santa Clara, CA 95050.
Site interaction data
This site uses Umami Cloud, a cookie-free analytics service, to count page views and basic interactions — things like which pages and recipes are viewed, which filters and buttons are used, and how many results a search returned. The purpose is to understand whether visitors can actually find and complete what they're looking for, and to improve the site accordingly. Umami receives standard request information: the page address (including any filter selections in it), the referring page, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
Interaction events never include the text of a recipe request, an email address, a search query, or any other free-form text you've typed — at most the length of that text, along with which recipe, filter, or button was involved and whether a submission went through. Searching itself happens entirely in your browser: your search text isn't sent anywhere unless you choose to submit it as a recipe request.
This site also uses Vercel Speed Insights, which collects page-performance measurements through Vercel's own service. This site's own code doesn't use cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage to create or maintain a user profile; the services described here operate under their own practices. None of this is used to build advertising profiles, sell personal information, or serve targeted ads.
Service providers
This site is hosted on Vercel, which also provides the Speed Insights described above. Separately from that, Vercel's hosting infrastructure processes standard technical information about each request as a normal part of running any site on its platform — that's part of Vercel's own infrastructure, covered by Vercel's own documentation, not something this site's code adds or controls. Page views and interaction events are processed by Umami Cloud (Umami Software, Inc.), as described above, under Umami's own privacy policy. Recipe requests and newsletter signups (including the welcome email) are both handled by Resend, as described above, which may also process related delivery and service metadata under its own policies. Recipe requests are delivered to a Gmail inbox, so Google also processes them as my email provider. The temporary, IP-based rate limit mentioned under Recipe requests is provided by Upstash. Each of these is a separate company with its own privacy practices.
Recipe card downloads
When you use “Download Recipe Card,” the image is generated and saved entirely within your own browser. It isn't uploaded, sent to me, or stored anywhere else — I never see or receive a copy of what you download.
Photos and imagery
Unless a specific recipe page states otherwise, all photos and recipe imagery on this site are my own.
